Hello, dear reader! In this article, I will tell you about the results of my research aimed at finding the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah, or rather what is left of them. I will describe the biblical events with the rain of sulfur and how they are connected with reality. I will tell you about my discovery, which, as far as I know, no one has published before me. All my conclusions will be confirmed by observations from the site and facts.
Let’s begin. To find this place, I needed several attempts. The first time the military drove me away. The second time I couldn’t climb over the mountains. And only on the third attempt did I figure out how to get to the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah. You need to use the cable car.
After traveling along the entire Dead Sea, I arrived at the complex where the cable car rises to Mount Masada. This is a tourist attraction that anyone can visit. From here, there is a stunning view of the Dead Sea and the surrounding area with its strange relief, which we will talk about a little later.
My trip took place back in 2018, and all the photos were taken during that period. Even then, I saw combines and tractors leveling and destroying the desert landscape. Why this was being done was unclear to me. But when I found what I was looking for, I came up with my own version.
So, first we go up to Mount Masada. Here you can see a complex of structures from that era: small stone, rubble masonry, remnants of mortar that had already crumbled, and heavily restored objects. To get to the place where the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah were located, you need to descend from the other side of Masada and set off into the desert on foot.
A crowd of astonished tourists watched as I walked away alone into the endless desert… Let me remind you: this is one of the driest places on the planet. The desert is dangerous. I made a big mistake by going there alone. But since it was not my first attempt, I knew what awaited me and took 8 liters of water with me. However, it was not enough — when I returned to Jerusalem, I was dying of thirst. In this heat, the body dehydrates instantly: you sweat, dry out immediately, lose water and strength. I barely made it back to civilization and do not recommend anyone to go there alone.
In the end, I found what I was looking for. I wandered for a long time among the remains of these cities and the surroundings, not even realizing that I was already in the right place: desert, stones, sand, no obvious structures. But then my eye caught strange white stones that stood out sharply against the background of the others. I picked them up and smelled them — they smelled just like firecrackers. It was sulfur.
I began to realize the scale of what had happened. Sulfur was everywhere: on the stones, in the sand, under the layer of soil. It was enough to move any large stone — and underneath were white particles with sulfur inclusions. These are chalk rocks saturated with sulfur. Sometimes I came across sulfur balls that ignited with a simple lighter. In nature, sulfur is not found in such a form, especially on the surface.
The scale was incredible. An area the size of a city was literally covered with sulfur. I ran from one spot to another, crushing and smelling these pieces, unable to believe my eyes. The biblical story came to mind: God rained sulfur on the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah for the sins of their inhabitants. And I thought that this really was the case. Only God here is not an invisible force in the heavens, but a very concrete figure with advanced technology. The rain of sulfur was not a miracle but a weapon with which the ancient cities were destroyed to the ground.
Genesis 19:24–19:25
“And the Lord rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the Lord out of heaven; And he overthrew those cities, and all the plain, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and that which grew upon the ground.”
That is exactly what happened. From the nature of the destruction, it is clear that the sulfur fell from above, leaving craters and settling on the surface. Nothing remained of the cities — they literally melted into ashes. Here the event described in the Bible receives factual confirmation. This was written not only in the Holy Scripture but also by ancient authors: Josephus Flavius, Philo of Alexandria, Strabo, Tacitus, and many others.
Another piece of evidence is the craters. I studied this issue a lot. Craters sometimes form from natural erosion or weathering, but they look different. And here they are real: round, of various diameters, resembling traces of meteorite impacts. The entire surface of the desert in this place is covered with such craters. You can even see this on Google Maps!
And today anyone can verify this personally. This is a fact proving that in ancient times there existed technologies unavailable even now. This is a weapon of mass destruction, clearly not corresponding to the technologies of past peoples (according to the official version of history).
Descending from the mountains, I paid attention to the cuts in the earth dumps. They were impregnated with chalk rocks containing sulfur. The smell is so distinctive that it cannot be confused with anything else. Anyone who lit firecrackers as a child will immediately recognize it. Each piece literally reeks of sulfur. If you break it, inside you will find inclusions giving off the same smell. I took many such samples home as proof of my findings.
The next thing I want to show you is literally “rivers of sulfur” that stretch here from time immemorial. Pay attention to this white trace. This is not pure sulfur, but chalk rocks containing its admixtures. Over time, sulfur gradually washes down from the mountains above and, flowing downward, forms characteristic streaks with a distinct smell.
A similar phenomenon can be observed in the vicinity of the Dead Sea, precisely in the area where the craters are located. During heavy rains, water flowing down the slopes and stones leaves the same white coating. These are traces of sulfur-rich rocks, and they create the impression that we are looking at real rivers of sulfur.
I believe that the Dead Sea was once fresh water. It became so salty because all the sulfur and other residual products of the destructive technology that destroyed the ancient cities flowed down and filled the reservoir. That is why powerful salt deposits formed there. Perhaps this explains the unusual salinity of the Dead Sea, which official science cannot fully justify.
It is important to note that I am not the first to speak of sulfur in this area. Since the 1980s, people have found sulfur balls here that ignite easily and burn for a long time. Many videos have been filmed about this. But no one mentioned the craters, and I dug through the entire internet before my trip.
Just imagine the colossal amount of sulfur burning at the highest temperature, turning the earth into ash. No wonder that not a single building of the cities remained. Today we only see earthen mounds of strange shapes, reminiscent of the relief of an ancient city destroyed to the ground. But even those are being bulldozed — what are they trying to hide from us?
